Hypnotherapy is a technique in which the subconscious is accessed and changes are made on a subliminal level.  Hypnotherapy is a wonderful option for people who have been through regular talk-therapy, and want to try something different, for people who have enjoyed their experience with hypnotherapy in the past and want to go through hypnosis again, or for people curious about what hypnotherapy feels like.

Hypnotherapy is not necessarily the way you see it performed on TV – we do not swing a pocket watch in front of your eyes, nor do you look at a swirling black and white machine.  Hypnotherapy is actually a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The first component to the hypnotherapy process is the gathering of information.  Your therapist will acquire detailed information about why you are seeking hypnotherapy.  Once you are ready to get started, you will first have the opportunity for relaxation.  This is done so that the client is able to become calm and open to suggestion.  The next piece of the process is called inductions.  Inductions are statements and phrases spoken by your hypnotherapist that are related to the issues presented.  For example, if someone comes in for weight loss, and one of their main issues is eating after midnight, that personal issue will be tailored and incorporated in your hypnotherapy session.
